I am from a science/engineering background. Creating stuff to just look good is often a struggle for me, especially when it comes to digital creations. Computers are math machines, and I get obsessed with getting my creations as exact as machine precision allows. That, and being an engineer, I solve practical problems, so I only tend to create things that solve practical problems.
What more to add... this is the identity I use in the global young naturist community, so you will find me using this account to engage with DeviantArt's naturists. I am Delta on International Young Naturists Organization, but that name was already taken here, so I tacked on some stuff. As far as actually engaging in any meatspace activities goes, I am a rather shy and reclusive person, which has held me back so far.
I am in my mid-twenties, and if you absolutely need to know my sex or gender, both are male. But do not stereotype me on that. I do not like professional sports, drinking beer or skirt chasing, I do not get obsessed about cars, brawn or the size of certain body parts. I am, above all, a nerd.
As far as art is concerned, let us go through the french numbering:
1. Dance: I do not really like to dance at all in most senses of the word. I do not like the classic partner dance, I do not like to participate in some choreography, I do not like to move my body extensively to music designed to encourage that. However, I do like to gesticulate to some songs.
2. Music: Actually something I like to do, but I do not find the motivation to practice enough to become good at it. I do have a keyboard, but even getting a single voice right is pushing my luck. As far as composition goes, never really gave it much of a try.
3. Poetry: Never really liked writing it, but I did get one good example done back in high school. Since there are somehow no other literary or dramatic arts in that list, let me comment on it here: I am not that much of a writer - my inner drive to be concise goes against telling stories.
4. Paint: I never did painting well, but drawing sometimes. Not counting practical, non-artistic drawings like schematics though, I have not drawn much since school. I think I did one decent drawing to a song once doodling in class, but it is probably lost to the world of Neverbotheredarchivingit now.
5. Sculpture: I actually did do a bit of sculpting to recreate an artifact for a video game. Really more about an excuse to tinker with electronics, though.
6. Architecture: I have designed some items, but when doing that, practical considerations come first to me, to the point where aesthetics have not really come into play very much in what I have done so far.
7. Motion Pictures: I am using this also as a drama/theatre category, because the list of traditional arts is so awfully incomplete. I do love acting out dramatically, but it is not something I like to put on camera or on stage.
8. Photography: My photography is almost entirely documentary in nature.
9. Comics: Seriously? That is a category when literature and drama are not? Way to be particular about some things. Anyway, dabbled here and there, but not written anything beyond a single strip.
10. Interactive art: I did mess around a bit in video games, with rom hacks and RPG Maker. Nothing worthwhile has come out of it so far, though.
